The Aragonese business will dedicate this new lot to its main activity, focused on distribution and added logistics services from Huesca to Spain and Europe Callizo Transport have acquired a 8000 square metre lot in the Huesca Logistics Platform (Plhus). The purchase will allow this business to expand its facilities and workforce in Huesca and strengthen its transport activity and national and international logistics, specialised in both regional ad local scope.
Callizo Transport is a family-run Argonese business with more than 60 years of history and three headquarters in Zaragoa, Huesca and Teruel. With this operation, they will continue their growth and its regional commitment, after the recent expansion of its facilities in the Logistics Platform of Teruel, Platea, where they acquired a plot of 5,000 square meters last year.
In the case of Plhus, the company will build a 3000 square meter warehouse in the first phase that, according to the company, will be occupied next year, with the possibility of continuing to increase its activity.
Concurrently, the company managers assure that with this initiative they will be able to expand the workforce with ten people, foreseeably before the relocation of the Huesca facilities from the Monzú polygon (Huesca), given the new possibilities offered by the Huesca platform. Callizo Transport will dedicate the new lot to its main activity, focused on distribution and added logistics services from Huesca to Spain and Europe.
The company has confirmed that the objective of this investment is to respond to the increase in its activity and the need to expand the current facilities according to the new demand. In Huesca, they will go from 3000 meters currently, between warehouses and trucks, to more than 8000 meters with which will include Plhus and will increase the trailer berths from 8 to 18. Likewise, the 16 current berths destined for light vehicles will increase to 30. The warehouse operations will extend be will extended from 2100 meters currently, to 3200 meters and the offices from 150 to 350 meters. With respect to the workforce, currently 26 direct employees and 18 self-employed workers work in the Huesca delegation, which also offer service to the company.
The Huesca Logistics Platform has a gross area of 1 157 062 metres squared, and a usable area of 657 506 metres squared. Plhus is one of the businesses which make up the Aragon Logistics Platform, the company chaired by the councillor Marta Gastón, wholly owned by the Government of Aragón and attached to the Corporación Empresarial Pública de Aragón.
It already has companies such as Ascaso Bakery, Decathlon, Big Mat, Gaypu, Transportes Betes, PHI Ingeniería, Construcciones Añaños, Oscatech Microsistemas and a Nissan dealer established in it and in the coming months, the following companies will start their new facilities in PLHUS: Hierros Huesca (Grupo Hierros Alfonso), Montajes Industriales del Alto Gállego, new Audi and Seat dealers and Callizo Transport.
